Band Jack Knife Sit-up

The band jack knife sit-up is a tummy exercise that uses a stretchy band to make the workout harder. It works your stomach muscles and hips. To do it, you lift your legs and your upper body up at the exact same time while holding the band. You need a strong core and good balance to do this.

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie down flat on your back with your legs straight and reach your arms way back over your head while holding the band.
  2. 2Tighten your tummy muscles and lift your legs and upper body up at the same time so your hands move toward your feet.
  3. 3Hold still for a moment at the top, then slowly lower your legs and body back down to where you started.
  4. 4Do this again for as many times as you need to.
