Band Single Leg Calf Raise

This exercise uses a stretchy band to work the calf muscles in your lower leg. It also helps make your ankles and feet stronger and more stable. You do it one leg at a time, which helps improve your balance and coordination.

Band Single Leg Calf Raise demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet slightly apart and put the band around the front part (ball) of your left foot.
  2. 2Hold onto something steady if you need help balancing.
  3. 3Slowly lift your left heel off the floor, shifting your weight onto the front of your foot.
  4. 4Wait for a second at the top, then slowly lower your heel back down to where you started.
  5. 5Do this for the number of times you want, then switch to your right leg.
