Band Kneeling Twisting Crunch

This is a tummy exercise used to make your core stronger. You kneel down and hold a stretchy band, then twist your upper body against the band's pull to work your stomach and side muscles.

Band Kneeling Twisting Crunch demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Tie the band to a strong object that is the same height as your waist.
  2. 2Get on your knees with your back facing the band. Hold the band with both hands, keeping your elbows bent and tucked close to your ribs.
  3. 3Tighten your stomach muscles and slowly turn your upper body to one side. Move your hands toward the hip on the other side.
  4. 4Stop for a second, then slowly turn back to the center where you started.
  5. 5Do the same movement turning to the other side.
  6. 6Keep switching sides until you have finished all your repetitions.
