Band Concentration Curl

This exercise uses a resistance band to work your bicep muscles. You sit down and lean your arm against your inner leg so you cannot swing your body. This makes your bicep do all the work.

Band Concentration Curl demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor and your legs wide apart.
  2. 2Hold one end of the band in your hand. Step on the other end with the foot on that same side.
  3. 3Lean forward a little bit. Rest your elbow against the inside of your thigh, right above your knee.
  4. 4Turn your palm up. Slowly pull your hand up toward your shoulder without moving your upper arm.
  5. 5Stop for a second at the top. Then, slowly lower your hand back down to where you started.
  6. 6Do this as many times as you need to, then switch to the other arm.
