Barbell Decline Close Grip To Skull Press

This exercise strengthens the triceps, which are the muscles on the back of your arms. You perform it on a bench where your head is lower than your feet. By holding the bar with your hands close together, it mixes two types of arm movements to build strength and balance.

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie down on a decline bench so your head is lower than your feet. Hold the barbell with your hands close together.
  2. 2Bend your elbows to slowly lower the bar toward your forehead. Keep your upper arms very still while you do this.
  3. 3Stop for a short moment, then straighten your arms to push the bar back up to the starting spot.
  4. 4Repeat these steps for the number of times you want to do the exercise.
