Assisted Side Lying Adductor Stretch

This is a simple stretch for the muscles on the inside of your thigh. You do it by lying on your side and resting your top foot on a bench or step to help you relax into the stretch.

Assisted Side Lying Adductor Stretch demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie on your side with your legs straight, one on top of the other.
  2. 2Bend your bottom leg a little bit to help you balance.
  3. 3Put your top foot up on a steady bench or step.
  4. 4Keep your top leg straight and gently let it sink down toward the floor until you feel a stretch in your inner thigh.
  5. 5Stay in this position for 20 to 30 seconds.
  6. 6Go back to the start and do the same thing on the other side.
