Assisted Prone Hamstring

This exercise works the muscles on the back of your thighs and your bottom. You lie on your stomach and lift your straight legs with help from a partner or a band.

Assisted Prone Hamstring demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie flat on your stomach with your legs straight out.
  2. 2Ask a partner to hold your ankles or use a band around them.
  3. 3Tighten the back of your legs and lift them up, making sure to keep your knees straight.
  4. 4Stop for a moment at the top, then slowly lower your legs back down.
  5. 5Repeat this for as many times as you want.
