Weighted Russian Twist

This is a workout for your tummy and side muscles. You do it by sitting down, holding a weight, and turning your upper body from side to side.

Weighted Russian Twist demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the floor. Bend your knees and keep your feet flat on the ground.
  2. 2Hold a weight with both hands right in front of your chest.
  3. 3Lean back a little bit. Keep your back straight and tighten your tummy muscles.
  4. 4Slowly turn your upper body to the right. Bring the weight down near the floor on your right side.
  5. 5Stop for a short moment. Then, turn your upper body to the left and bring the weight down near the floor on that side.
  6. 6Keep switching sides for as many times as you need.
