Weighted Hanging Leg-hip Raise

This is a hard exercise for your tummy muscles. It also works your hips and lower back. You hang from a high bar and lift your straight legs with weights on them to make your core strong.

Weighted Hanging Leg-hip Raise demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Hold onto a pull-up bar with straight arms and your palms facing away from your face.
  2. 2Tighten your tummy muscles and lift your straight legs up in front of you.
  3. 3Keep lifting until your legs are level with the floor or a little bit higher.
  4. 4Stop for a short moment at the top, then slowly lower your legs back down.
  5. 5Do this again for the number of times you want.
