Weighted Bench Dip

This upper body exercise builds your triceps, while also helping your chest and shoulders. You place your hands on a bench and your feet on the floor, then use your arms to lower and lift your body. You add extra weight to make the movement harder.

Weighted Bench Dip demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the edge of a bench and hold onto the edge with your fingers pointing forward.
  2. 2Slide your bottom off the bench so your hands are holding up your weight.
  3. 3Bend your elbows to slowly lower your body until your upper arms are level with the floor.
  4. 4Push yourself back up to the start by straightening your arms.
  5. 5Do this motion again for the number of times you want.
