Twisted Leg Raise (female)

This exercise strengthens your tummy and side muscles. You lie on your back, lift your legs, and twist your hips to make your core muscles work harder.

Twisted Leg Raise (female) demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie flat on your back with your legs straight and your arms down by your sides.
  2. 2Bend your knees and lift your legs up toward your chest.
  3. 3As you lift, twist your hips to one side so your knees go toward the opposite shoulder.
  4. 4Stop for a short time at the top, then slowly lower your legs back to the start.
  5. 5Do the movement again, but twist your hips to the other side this time.
  6. 6Keep switching sides for as many times as you need.
