Spine Twist

The spine twist is a simple exercise you do while sitting on the floor. It works your stomach and back muscles. You keep your body tight and turn your upper body from side to side. This helps make your middle stronger and easier to move.

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the floor with your legs straight out.
  2. 2Bend your knees and put your feet flat on the floor, a little bit apart.
  3. 3Put your hands behind your head with your elbows pointing out to the sides.
  4. 4Tighten your stomach muscles.
  5. 5Slowly turn your upper body to the right, aiming your right elbow toward your left knee.
  6. 6Stop for a short moment, then slowly turn back to the center.
  7. 7Now do the same thing to the left, aiming your left elbow toward your right knee.
  8. 8Keep switching sides for as many times as you want.
