Spine Stretch

This is a simple seated exercise that uses your own body weight. It stretches your backbone and helps you stand up taller. It also gives a gentle stretch to your bottom and the back of your legs.

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you.
  2. 2Put your hands on the floor behind you. Make sure your fingers point toward your hips.
  3. 3Tighten your tummy muscles and slowly lean backward. Keep your back straight like a board.
  4. 4Keep leaning back until you feel a good stretch in your back.
  5. 5Stay there for a few seconds, then slowly sit back up.
  6. 6Do this again as many times as you need to.
