Ski Ergometer

This exercise uses a special machine to copy the movement of cross-country skiing. It focuses on your triceps muscles but also works your shoulders and lower arms. It helps build strength and is good for your heart health.

Ski Ergometer demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Move the seat and footrests until you feel comfortable.
  2. 2Hold the handles with your palms facing the floor.
  3. 3Sit tall with your feet flat on the rests.
  4. 4Reach your arms forward, but keep a small bend in your elbows.
  5. 5Use your back-arm muscles to push the handles down to your legs.
  6. 6Stop for a second at the bottom, then slowly go back up.
  7. 7Do this as many times as you need to.
