Scapular Pull-up

This bodyweight exercise strengthens your upper back and helps keep your shoulders steady. To do it, you hang from a bar and move your shoulder blades down and back while keeping your arms completely straight.

How to Perform

  1. 1Hang from a pull-up bar with your arms straight and your palms facing away from you.
  2. 2Pull your shoulder blades down and back.
  3. 3Use your back muscles to lift your body slightly, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  4. 4Hold this position for a moment, then slowly lower yourself back down.
  5. 5Do this again for as many times as you need.
