Rear Deltoid Stretch

This easy bodyweight exercise focuses on the back of your shoulders. It also stretches muscles in your upper back. People do this to make their shoulders move better and to help with tightness.

Rear Deltoid Stretch demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand up straight with your feet as wide as your shoulders.
  2. 2Reach your right arm straight across your chest.
  3. 3Hold your right elbow with your left hand.
  4. 4Pull your right arm gently toward your left shoulder until you feel a stretch.
  5. 5Stay in this position for 15 to 30 seconds, then let go.
  6. 6Do the same steps with your left arm.
