Quarter Sit-up

The quarter sit-up is a tummy exercise. You lie on your back and lift your upper body partway up, about halfway to a full sit-up. This helps strengthen your stomach muscles without pulling on your hips.

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. 2Put your hands behind your head with your elbows pointing out to the sides.
  3. 3Tighten your tummy muscles and slowly lift your upper body until you are halfway to sitting up.
  4. 4Stop for a second at the top, then slowly lower yourself back down to where you started.
  5. 5Do this again for as many times as you want.
