Medicine Ball Catch And Overhead Throw

This exercise is a strong movement that uses your shoulders, back muscles, and stomach muscles. You will squat down, throw a weighted ball straight up into the air, and then catch it as it comes back down.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart, about as wide as your shoulders. Hold the ball with both hands at your chest.
  2. 2Bend your knees a little and make your stomach muscles tight.
  3. 3Lower your body into a squat. Keep your back straight and your chest facing forward.
  4. 4Push up hard with your legs and hips. At the same time, throw the ball straight up over your head.
  5. 5Let go of the ball at the highest point of your reach. Catch the ball when it comes back down.
  6. 6As you catch the ball, lower your body back into the squat position. Repeat this for as many times as you need.
