Lever Seated Hip Abduction

This machine exercise works the muscles on the outside of your hips. You sit in the seat and push your legs apart against the heavy weight.

Lever Seated Hip Abduction demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Move the seat height so your knees are bent like the corner of a box.
  2. 2Sit down with your back pressing against the pad and put your feet on the foot bars.
  3. 3Hold onto the handles at your sides to stay steady.
  4. 4Use your outer hip muscles to slowly push your legs wide apart.
  5. 5Stop for a moment when your legs are wide, then slowly bring them back together.
  6. 6Do this again for as many times as you need.
