Lever One Arm Lateral High Row

This exercise uses a machine to build strength in your upper back, while also working your arm and shoulder muscles. You pull a handle toward your side with one hand, making sure to squeeze your back muscles at the top of the pull.

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the seat height so you are comfortable, then sit facing the machine.
  2. 2Hold the handle with one hand and keep your back straight.
  3. 3Pull the handle back toward your body, keeping your elbow close to your side.
  4. 4Squeeze your back muscles tight when the handle is closest to you.
  5. 5Slowly let the handle go back to where it started.
  6. 6Do this as many times as you need to.
