Lever Horizontal One Leg Press

This is a lower body exercise done on a machine. It mainly strengthens your butt muscles (glutes), but also works your thighs and calves. Because you push the weight using only one leg at a time, it helps build strength and balance on that specific side.

How to Perform

  1. 1Move the seat so your knees look like a square corner (90 degrees) when your feet are on the plate.
  2. 2Sit down with your back flat against the pad and place your feet on the plate as wide as your shoulders.
  3. 3Hold onto the handles on the sides of the seat to stay steady.
  4. 4Push the plate away from you by straightening one leg, but keep your back pressed firmly against the seat.
  5. 5Stop for a moment when your leg is straight, then slowly bend your knee to go back to the start.
  6. 6Do this for the right number of times, then switch to your other leg.
