Lever High Row

The lever high row is a machine exercise that works your upper back, along with your arm muscles and the back of your shoulders. To do it, you sit on the machine, hold the handles, and pull them toward you while keeping your chest flat against the pad.

How to Perform

  1. 1Move the seat and footrest so you fit comfortably.
  2. 2Sit down and press your chest firmly against the front pad, placing your feet flat on the platform.
  3. 3Hold the handles with your palms facing down, placing your hands a bit wider than your shoulders.
  4. 4Keep your back straight and tighten your stomach muscles.
  5. 5Pull the handles toward you and squeeze your shoulder blades together.
  6. 6Hold still for a second at the end of the pull, then slowly let the handles go back to where they started.
  7. 7Do this again for as many times as you need.
