L-pull-up

The L-pull-up is a hard exercise using your own body weight. It works your back muscles, tummy muscles, and arms. To do it, you must keep your legs straight out in front of you, like the letter 'L', the whole time you pull yourself up.

How to Perform

  1. 1Hold the bar with your hands a little wider than your shoulders, with your palms facing away from you.
  2. 2Hang down so your arms are straight and your body is in a line.
  3. 3Use your back and arm muscles to pull yourself up. Keep your elbows close to your sides.
  4. 4Keep pulling until your chin is higher than the bar.
  5. 5Stop for a second at the top, then slowly lower yourself all the way back down.
  6. 6Do this again for the number of times you want.
