Gironda Sternum Chin

This is a hard exercise where you lift your body up to a bar. You must pull yourself up until your chest touches the bar, not just your chin. This creates a tight squeeze in your upper back muscles. It also works your arms and shoulders.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand in front of a high bar with your feet apart, about as wide as your shoulders.
  2. 2Reach up and hold the bar with your palms facing away from you. Place your hands a little wider than your shoulders.
  3. 3Hang from the bar so your arms are completely straight and your body is in a straight line.
  4. 4Use your back and arm muscles to pull your body up. Lead with your chest so your breastbone moves toward the bar.
  5. 5Stop for a moment at the top, then slowly lower yourself back down to the start.
  6. 6Do this again for the number of times you want.
