Ez Barbell Close Grip Preacher Curl

This exercise works your bicep muscles. You sit on a special seat called a preacher bench to keep your arms steady. You use a curved bar called an EZ bar and hold it with your hands close together. This helps you squeeze your arm muscles without swinging your body.

Ez Barbell Close Grip Preacher Curl demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the preacher bench and lean forward.
  2. 2Rest the back of your upper arms flat against the pad.
  3. 3Hold the EZ bar with your palms facing up and your hands close together.
  4. 4Straighten your arms all the way out, but keep your back straight.
  5. 5Slowly curl the bar up toward your shoulders while squeezing your bicep muscles.
  6. 6Stop for a second at the top to squeeze your muscles tight.
  7. 7Lower the bar back down slowly until your arms are straight again.
  8. 8Repeat this movement for the number of times you planned.
