Exercise Ball Back Extension With Rotation

This exercise strengthens your lower back and waist. You lie face down on a large exercise ball and lift your upper body up. Then, you gently twist from side to side to work your core muscles.

Exercise Ball Back Extension With Rotation demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie on your stomach on the ball with your hips resting on it. Keep your feet flat on the floor.
  2. 2Put your hands behind your head or cross them over your chest.
  3. 3Tighten your stomach muscles. Slowly lift your chest up until your body makes a straight line.
  4. 4Stop for a moment at the top. Slowly turn your upper body to one side. Keep your hips and legs still.
  5. 5Turn back to the middle, then turn to the other side.
  6. 6Lower your chest back down to the start. Do this again for the number of times you want.
