Dumbbell Step-up Lunge

This is a leg exercise where you hold weights and step onto a box or platform. It works your thighs, hips, and calves. It helps build strength in your lower body and improves your balance.

Dumbbell Step-up Lunge demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand in front of a step holding a dumbbell in each hand by your sides.
  2. 2Put your right foot flat on the step. Make sure your whole foot is on it.
  3. 3Push down with your right heel to lift your body up, bringing your left foot onto the step.
  4. 4Step your left foot back down to the floor, keeping your right foot on the step.
  5. 5Repeat the movement, but switch legs so you step up with the other foot next time.
