Dumbbell Incline T-raise

This exercise works your shoulder and upper back muscles. You do it while sitting on a slanted bench. You must move slowly and carefully to make sure your muscles do the work, not momentum.

Dumbbell Incline T-raise demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the bench to a 45-degree slant. Sit on it holding a dumbbell in each hand.
  2. 2Lean your body forward. Let your arms hang straight down toward the floor.
  3. 3Keep your arms straight and lift them out to the sides until they look like the letter 'T'.
  4. 4Hold still for a second at the top, then slowly lower your arms back down.
  5. 5Repeat this for the number of times you want.
