Dumbbell Incline Palm-in Press

This is a chest exercise done on a slanted bench using dumbbells. You hold the weights so your palms face each other. It works your upper chest, shoulders, and the back of your arms. Holding your hands this way is gentle on your shoulders and helps work the middle of your chest.

How to Perform

  1. 1Adjust the bench so it tilts up at a 45-degree angle.
  2. 2Sit on the bench holding a weight in each hand with your palms facing inward.
  3. 3Place your feet flat on the floor and keep your back straight against the seat.
  4. 4Start with the weights at your shoulders, elbows bent, and palms facing each other.
  5. 5Push the weights up and away from your body until your arms are fully straight.
  6. 6Stop for a second at the top, then slowly lower the weights back to the start.
  7. 7Do this again for the number of times you need.
