This exercise works your shoulder muscles, the back of your arms, and your upper back. It mixes pushing weights up with turning your wrists. This movement helps make your shoulder joints strong and steady.

Dumbbell Cuban Press V. 2 demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart like your shoulders. Hold a weight in each hand at shoulder height with your palms facing the floor.
  2. 2Keep your tummy muscles tight and your back straight. Push the weights straight up over your head until your arms are completely straight.
  3. 3Turn your wrists so your palms face the front.
  4. 4Lower the weights back down to your shoulders while turning your wrists back to how they started.
  5. 5Do this again for the number of times you want.
