Cable Twist (up-down)

The cable twist (up-down) works your tummy muscles, specifically the sides and lower back. It uses a cable machine to make turning your body harder, which builds strength.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet as wide as your shoulders, looking at the cable machine.
  2. 2Hold the handle with both hands at chest height, keeping your arms a little bit bent.
  3. 3Tighten your tummy muscles and slowly turn your upper body to one side, but keep your hips and legs still.
  4. 4Stop for a second when you finish the turn, then slowly go back to where you started.
  5. 5Do the same turn to the other side.
  6. 6Keep switching sides until you finish your set.
