Cable Standing Shoulder External Rotation

This exercise works your shoulder muscles and helps keep the joint steady. It focuses on turning your arm outward. It also uses the muscles in your upper back to make your shoulders stronger and healthier.

Cable Standing Shoulder External Rotation demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand up tall with your feet apart and your knees bent a little bit.
  2. 2Hold the cable handle and reach your arm straight out in front of you. Keep your arm level with the floor.
  3. 3Keep a small bend in your elbow and pull your shoulder blades back.
  4. 4Slowly turn your arm outward away from your body. Do not let your elbow move from its spot.
  5. 5Stop for a moment at the end, then slowly move your arm back to where you started.
  6. 6Do this again for as many times as you need.
