Cable Standing Calf Raise

This exercise uses a cable machine to make your calf muscles stronger. You stand up tall and lift your heels off the floor. It also works the muscles in the back of your legs and hips a little bit.

Cable Standing Calf Raise demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand in front of the cable machine with your feet apart, lining them up with your shoulders.
  2. 2Hold the machine handles or put the strap around your ankles.
  3. 3Push your toes down to lift your heels as high as you can.
  4. 4Stop for a short moment at the top, then slowly lower your heels back down.
  5. 5Do this again for as many times as you need.
