Cable Side Bend

This exercise works the muscles on the sides of your stomach. You stand up tall and bend sideways against the pull of a cable machine.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart and hold the cable handle in one hand.
  2. 2Stand tall and tighten your stomach muscles.
  3. 3Slowly lean to the side, moving the handle down toward your knee.
  4. 4Stop for a second, then stand back up straight.
  5. 5Do the same movements on the other side.
  6. 6Keep switching sides until you finish your set.
