Cable Shoulder Press

This exercise uses a cable machine to strengthen your shoulder muscles. You push handles from your shoulders straight up over your head. This helps your shoulders, the back of your arms, and your upper back get stronger.

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the cable handles to the same height as your shoulders.
  2. 2Turn your back to the machine and stand with your feet apart, as wide as your shoulders.
  3. 3Hold the handles with your palms facing forward and bring them to your shoulders. Keep your elbows bent and pointing out.
  4. 4Push the handles straight up until your arms reach all the way over your head.
  5. 5Stop for a second at the top, then slowly lower the handles back to your shoulders.
  6. 6Do these steps again for as many times as you need.
