Cable Rope Elevated Seated Row

This exercise builds strength in your upper back. You sit on a raised seat and use a cable machine with rope handles. It helps you squeeze your back muscles together while also working your arms and grip.

Cable Rope Elevated Seated Row demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the high seat and look at the machine.
  2. 2Hold the rope handles with your hands so your palms face each other.
  3. 3Keep your back straight and lean back just a little. Keep your knees slightly bent.
  4. 4Pull the ropes toward you by squeezing your shoulder blades together and using your back muscles.
  5. 5Stop for a moment when the ropes are close to your body.
  6. 6Slowly let your arms go back out to where they started.
  7. 7Do this again for as many times as you need.
