Cable Hip Adduction

This exercise strengthens the muscles on the inner side of your thigh. You use a cable machine to pull your leg across your body, which helps tone and build up your adductor muscles.

Cable Hip Adduction demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Put the ankle strap on your ankle and stand looking at the cable machine.
  2. 2Step back far enough so the cable is tight.
  3. 3Hold onto the machine to keep your balance.
  4. 4Keep your leg straight and slowly pull it across the front of your body.
  5. 5Hold it there for a second, then slowly let your leg go back to where it started.
  6. 6Do this as many times as you need.
