Cable High Row (kneeling)

This is a strength exercise for your upper back. You do it while kneeling in front of a cable machine. It helps you squeeze your shoulder blades together and uses your back muscles. Your arm and shoulder muscles help a little bit, too.

How to Perform

  1. 1Put a straight bar on the cable machine at the same height as your chest.
  2. 2Kneel down in front of the machine. Hold the bar with your palms facing down and your hands shoulder-width apart.
  3. 3Sit back on your heels. Keep your back straight and make your tummy muscles tight.
  4. 4Pull the bar toward the top of your stomach. Squeeze your shoulder blades together as you pull.
  5. 5Hold the bar there for a moment. Then, slowly let it go back to where it started.
  6. 6Repeat this for as many times as you need.
