Cable Deadlift

This exercise uses a cable machine to strengthen your butt muscles, along with your legs and lower back. You start by bending at your hips to hold the cable, then you straighten your body to stand up tall.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand in front of the machine with your feet apart, matching the width of your shoulders.
  2. 2Bend your knees and hips to lean forward until your back is flat.
  3. 3Hold the handles with your palms facing your body, keeping your arms straight and shoulders back.
  4. 4Squeeze your butt and leg muscles to stand up straight, pulling the handles with you.
  5. 5Wait for a second at the top, then slowly lower the handles back to the start.
  6. 6Do this as many times as planned.
