Cable Curl

This exercise uses a cable machine to make your arm muscles stronger. You pull the handle up toward your shoulders while keeping your elbows stuck to your sides. The cable keeps your muscles working hard during the whole movement.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand in front of the machine with your feet apart, about as wide as your shoulders.
  2. 2Hold the handle with your palms facing up.
  3. 3Keep your elbows tight against your sides and do not move your upper arms.
  4. 4Breathe out and pull the handle up to your shoulders while squeezing your arm muscles.
  5. 5Stop for a second at the top and squeeze your muscles hard.
  6. 6Breathe in and slowly let the handle go back down to where you started.
  7. 7Do this again for the number of times you want.
