Cable Cross-over Reverse Fly

This exercise uses a cable machine to strengthen the muscles on the back of your shoulders and upper back. You need to hold your body in a steady position and move with control to get the best results.

Cable Cross-over Reverse Fly demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Hook a D-handle onto each of the bottom cables and stand in the center of the machine.
  2. 2Hold the handles so your palms face the floor. Step forward and place your feet shoulder-width apart.
  3. 3Bend your knees a little bit and lean your body forward at the waist. Keep your back flat and your stomach muscles tight.
  4. 4Keep your arms out to the sides with a tiny bend in your elbows. Breathe out and squeeze your shoulder blades together as you pull the cables back and upward.
  5. 5Hold still for a moment at the top, then breathe in and slowly let your arms go back to the starting position.
  6. 6Repeat these steps for the number of times you want to do the exercise.
