Cable Assisted Inverse Leg Curl

This exercise strengthens the muscles on the back of your thighs. You lie on your stomach and use a cable machine to create resistance as you bend your knees to pull your heels toward your bottom.

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the cable machine attachment to the very lowest position.
  2. 2Lie on your stomach on the bench with your legs straight and fasten the strap around your ankles.
  3. 3Hold the bench handles firmly to keep your body steady.
  4. 4Keep your upper body still, breathe out, and bend your knees to pull your heels up toward your bottom.
  5. 5Stop briefly at the top to squeeze the muscles in the back of your legs.
  6. 6Breathe in and slowly lower your legs back down until they are straight.
  7. 7Repeat this movement for your chosen number of times.
