The Barbell Standing Bradford Press is a standing exercise that makes your shoulders, upper back, and arm muscles stronger. You push a weighted bar from your shoulders straight up over your head. You need good strength and steady movement to do this well.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand up tall with your feet as wide as your shoulders. Hold the barbell in front of your shoulders with your palms facing forward.
  2. 2Push the bar straight up over your head until your arms are all the way straight.
  3. 3Slowly lower the bar back down to where you started at your shoulders.
  4. 4Do these steps again for the number of times you want.
