Barbell Rear Delt Raise

This exercise works the muscles on the back of your shoulders. It also helps the muscles in your upper back. To do it, you lean forward and lift a barbell out to your sides.

Barbell Rear Delt Raise demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet as wide as your shoulders. Hold the bar with your palms facing the floor.
  2. 2Bend your knees a little bit. Lean your body forward at the hips, but keep your back flat.
  3. 3Lift the bar out to your sides with straight arms. Stop when your arms are level with the ground.
  4. 4Hold the bar there for a moment. Then, slowly lower it back to where you started.
  5. 5Repeat these steps for as many times as you need.
