Barbell One Arm Bent Over Row

This exercise strengthens your upper back using one arm at a time. It requires good balance and strong tummy muscles. To do it, you bend forward at your hips, keep your back flat, and pull the barbell up with one hand while staying steady.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart and knees bent a little. Hold the barbell with one hand.
  2. 2Lean forward from your hips. Keep your back straight and your head steady.
  3. 3Pull the bar up to your chest. Keep your elbow close to your side and squeeze your back muscles.
  4. 4Slowly lower the bar back down to where you started.
  5. 5Finish your turns on one arm, then switch to the other.
