Barbell Curl

The barbell curl is a strength exercise for your biceps. You lift a barbell from your thighs up to your shoulders while keeping your elbows near your body.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand tall with your feet apart and hold the barbell with your palms facing forward.
  2. 2Keep your elbows touching your sides and breathe out as you lift the weight.
  3. 3Lift the bar all the way up until it reaches your shoulders.
  4. 4Hold the bar at the top for a moment and squeeze your arm muscles.
  5. 5Breathe in as you slowly lower the bar back down to where you started.
  6. 6Repeat this for as many times as you need.
